Are you an Adult Student?
If you meet one or more of the following criteria, then you are considered an adult student at Penn State:
- 24 years of age or older
- Assuming multiple adult roles such as parent, spouse/partner, employee, and student
- Veteran of the armed services
- Active duty service member
- Returning to school after four or more years of employment, homemaking, or other activity

Then try Free COLLEGE 101 for ADULTS
You've completed your application, but maybe you're starting to get nervous, or maybe you're still just considering applying but aren't sure if you will be able to keep up. You might want to consider taking our new workshop for adult students.
This program is designed to help new or returning adult students become acclimated to college. It's not a requirement, but it's here for those who just need a bit more confidence.

Understanding Financial Aid
All students must file a FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA) in order to be considered for grants and scholarships. This application is completed online at fafsa.ed.gov (Penn State's school code is 003329)
Pennsylvania residents may also be considered for the PA State Grant by applying at pheaa.org.

Adults may also apply for the 24+ Scholarship if they are a first-time college student.
